As you can see below, there is evidence of the theme of colour we wanted to keep throughout our music video. We wanted the vivid colours to connote positive emotions and youth and I feel like we achieved that.

Explanation of camera shots -
Close ups -
The purpose of the uses of our close ups is to help portray the intimacy within a relationship. The close up of the eyes and lips gives it a very romantic feel to the music video. As well as the touching of the hands, as they touch.
Pan up -
The use of the pan-up in this scene is to show her lying down in a skate park, emphasising her youth.
POV shot -
Using POV reinforces the idea of intimacy we wanted to achieve. From being in the diner to being in the skate park, these are all times the boy is looking at the girl.
Over the shoulder -
We used over the shoulder camera angles to help hide the face of the boy, it creates a mysterious mood to the music video as you want to see his face; but constantly, the camera is hidden behind him.

Ideas For Our Digipak
A digipak is an inventive and creative way to ensure an albums success, so planning of the design needs to be thorough and well thought out.
For our digipak I want the house style to be all black which is slightly ironic as our album is about vivid colours that represent key memories. However, we are planning to use a girl on our front cover and not include the artist himself. Firstly because the artist's appearance isn't one of our selling points, we are initially focusing on SPCTRM's music. Secondly, I love the idea of a teenage girl because I like the "innocent" look.
For the front cover, we are going to have the girl face her back towards the camera with a projector shining an image of a rainbow onto the girl's hand. So the rainbow against the hand will stand out against the black background, it adds an ambiguity to the artist and puts the main focus on the rainbow. The darkness in of the room will also add an intimate vibe to the album art and having a rainbow exposed on the girl's hand is like she's allowing you to enter her life. An album in some cases represents the artist's life. Lastly, having her back to the camera with her head slightly facing the camera implies a sort of vulnerability and innocence to the girl which again, an album is very personal. We are allowing the audience to be exposed to our emotions, vulnerability and personal experiences.
On the left and right panels, I want to have the girl's face make the first appearance. From the left panel, I want a right perspective of her face and the alternative side on the right panel. The reason behind this idea is because once you've bought the album, open it up, you're again exposed fully to this girl from all perspectives. The CD will be in the middle, representing a front-facing perspective of her, the main one, the music. A 360 degree perspective of this girl.

Our Artist: SPCTRM
The name of our artist is called SPCTRM, abbreviated for "Spectrum" as in a spectrum of colours.
It's a one man band who creates alternative music that doesn't stick to one genre; he's in his own game producing electrionic, garage, indie and R&B music. Being from London, he's heavily influenced by the underground and urban culture London has to offer. The reasoning behind the name SPCTRM is very simple as you can apply a sepctrum to almost everything; let's look at London for example, it has a spectrum of cultures, ethnicities, races and stories behind everybody's life. So the name is like a symbolic representation that anybody can interpret themselves, tailoring it to their own life. My artist has music for all emotions - again, a spectrum of colours / a range of emotions, the connotations and semiotics of these colours depict certain emotions; so blue portrays sadness, green is jealousy, red is love or danger.
Overral, I like the idea of a spectrum that could be apply to anything, almost like a measurment. It's similar to how I see music, there's an immense range or spectrum of genres that fits so many different emotions and that's what influenced me to choose this name.
We want to achieve an 80's feel with this album as our artist is heavily influenced by this era as it was the decade he was born in. I like the first experiences with the technological advances like the computer, game consoles and even things like lava lamps. It seems like the 80's was a time of no light and being immersed into the digital world, to different era's coming together, two ends of the spectrum coming together. But the reasoning for the missing of some letters, I feel it gives a space-age like alternative feel to it; it could be said that our artist's emotions and experiencs are put into the album, which they are and that represents SPCTRM but the missal for the letters proves you don't know everything about this artist, leaving SPCTRM ambigious.

What is a digipak?
A Digipak is a promotional platform some artists like to take advantage of as, in some cases, can be a unique selling point (USP) as it can offer exclusive content. For example, some artists like Nicki Minaj made her debut album, Pink Friday, digipak exclusive to iTunes; therefore, leaving fans to purchasing the album via iTunes. What a digipak can include is unseen footage of the artist, lyrics of the songs, explanations of the songs and also thank you's the artist wants to offer to people involved in the creation of the album. So it's main purpose is a promotional aspect to boost sales.
